CARE
Special Orchids produces cut flower Cymbidium with the utmost of care and attention to detail. This is why florists receive only the ultimate in quality, which is subsequently reflected in a satisfied end-consumer who can enjoy these superb flowers for a long time. Under the right conditions, Special Orchids’ cut Cymbidium has a vase life lasting a number of weeks. Here is a list of care tips:
- Keep Cymbidium refrigerated at a temperature between 8 and 12°C during transport and storage.
- Handle the stem and flowers with care to prevent them from being dropped or bruised.
- Be particularly careful not to damage the delicate stigma since this can shorten the orchid’s vase life.
- Ensure you have a clean container filled with fresh lukewarm water.
- Refresh the water once a week, each time trimming the stem back at an angle by 3 cm.
- Do not place the flowers near a radiator, in direct sunlight or in a draught.
Tip!
Will you be using the flowers to create an arrangement for a special occasion? If so, insert them into floral water tubes or small vases to prevent any damage should the floral foam not have absorbed enough water.
